In general, it is possible for you to access and visit the website UneLettre.org without providing any personal information.
If you wish to "write a letter" or "reply to a letter received", as a user of our services, you must however provide a minimum of personal information (first name, year of birth, profession, city of residence, country of residence, email address). This list is non-exhaustive and may be subject to change according to the needs of UneLettre in the sending process of your letters. Some of these fields are nonetheless "not mandatory" and you are free not to fill them in. By providing this information, you expressly agree that it may be processed by UneLettre for the purposes indicated in chapter 2 of this document.
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation adopted by the European Parliament, on April 14th, 2016, and with the French Data Protection Act of, January 6th, 1978 as amended, UneLettre informs you of the following points:
1. Identity of the data controller
The data controller is the association UneLettre, having its registered office at Boulevard des Dames, 13002 Marseille, France.
2. Purposes of processing
UneLettre may process your personal nformation:
a. for the purpose of providing you with the information or services tha tyou have requested (including :sending your letters, emails responses to letters received, providing support...); and/or
b. to collect information that will enable us to improve our site, your user experience and our services.
Only UneLettre is the recipient of your personal information. Your personal information is never transmitted to third parties, not with standing the subcontractors to which UneLettre may call upon. Neither UneLettre, nor any of its subcontractors, will market the personal data of visitors and users of its website www.unelettre.org.
4. Retention period
Your personal information is kept by UneLettre only for the time corresponding to the purpose of the collection as indicated in chapter 2. This retention time of your data shall, in any case not exceed 24 months.

- Right of access and communication of data
You have the right to access your personal information.
However, due to the obligation of security and confidentiality in the processing of personal data that is incumbent on UneLettre, your request will only be processed on the condition that you provide proof of your identity, by producing a scan of a valid identification document.
- Right to rectify data
Under this right, the legislation entitles you to request the correction, updating or deletion of data concerning you which may prove to be inaccurate, erroneous, obsolete or incomplete.

- Right of opposition
The exercise of this right is only possible in one of the two following situations:
a. When the exercise of this right is based on legitimate reasons or
b. When the exercise of this right is intended to prevent the data collected from being used for commercial prospecting purposes.
6. Response times
UneLettre undertakes to respond to your request for access, rectification or opposition or any other additional request for information within a reasonable period of time, which may not exceed one month from receiving your request.
7. Authorized service providers and transfer to a third country of the European Union, UneLettre informs you that it uses authorized service providers to facilitate the collection and processing of the data you provide. These service providers may be located outside the European Union and may communicate the data collected through the various forms on the Site.
UneLettre has previously ensured tha tits service providers have implemented adequate guarantees and that they comply with strict conditions regarding confidentiality, use and protection of data.
8. Complaint to the competent authority
If you consider that UneLettre does not comply with its obligations with regard to your Personal Information, you can address a complaint or a request to the competent authority. In France, the competent authority is the CNIL.
